Legacy Acreage Coffee – Farmhouse Medium Roast

Our Guji Danbi Udo Natural captures the vibrant soul of Ethiopian coffee from one of its most celebrated regions. Grown by smallholder farmers in the Guji Zone of Oromia at elevations of 1,950–2,200 meters, this exceptional single-origin is processed at the Danbi Udo wet mill. Guji’s volcanic soils, shade trees, and ideal climate produce coffees renowned for their clarity, sweetness, and aromatic complexity. The farmers here cultivate a mix of heirloom landraces and JARC varieties (including 74110, 74158, and 74112), often intercropping their trees with avocados, mangoes, and legumes using sustainable, organic practices.

Handpicked at peak ripeness, the cherries undergo meticulous natural (dry) processing. After careful sorting, they are spread on raised beds and sun-dried for three to four weeks with frequent turning. This traditional method allows the fruit’s natural sugars to infuse the beans, amplifying the bright, expressive fruit character while preserving Ethiopia’s signature floral elegance. Graded G2 for its superior cup quality and minimal defects, this lot earned an impressive 87.5 cupping score.

Air-roasted in small batches to showcase its inherent qualities, our Guji Danbi Udo Natural delivers a light, clean, and beautifully layered cup. The aroma opens with fragrant honeysuckle and lavender, giving way to juicy tropical fruit, zesty citrus brightness, and a smooth, tea-like body with balanced acidity. The finish is refined and lingering, with a black tea elegance that invites you to savor every sip as the cup cools.

This coffee shines in pour-over, Chemex, AeroPress, or drip methods, where its nuanced flavors and bright acidity can fully express themselves. Whether enjoyed black or with a touch of milk, it offers a complex yet approachable experience that highlights why Ethiopian naturals are so beloved.

By choosing Guji Danbi Udo Natural, you connect directly with the birthplace of coffee and support the dedicated farmers and community mills preserving these heirloom traditions. It reflects the same care and craft of small-batch roasting from farm to cup that defines all of our single-origin offerings.
