Our Flower Season:

Reflection & Looking Ahead

As summer winds down, we’ve been reflecting on this growing season at the farm. Our wildflower mix gave us a breathtaking show in the spring and early summer. But as the season stretched on, the blooms were not as abundant as our first year. We also tried introducing new varieties of flowers in the field, but many didn’t take root the way we hoped...

Meat Birds are Back on The Homestead

We’ve got good news to share! Recently, we were offered an amazing opportunity—an unexpected deal on meat bird chicks that we simply couldn’t turn down. So, we welcomed 52 new chicks to the farm!

 

While this isn’t our first time raising meat birds, it’s our first time in a couple of years—and we’re loving the chance to do it again...

Loss and Found: A Beekeeper’s Reflection on Letting Go and Starting Again
